Transdev engaged with CDK to audit and review their existing legacy systems due to concern on spend level, services and complexity of their telecom setup. After carrying out a complete spend audit, CDK came back with a high-level overview of bespoke recommendations and improvements.
The first and biggest finding was that Transdev was actually spending a lot more on telecom services than they needed to.

CDK helped Transdev save an estimated $600K in one off capex credits and a 25% reduction in opex costs.
How Altus Traffic saved 20% on their mobile service
Without changing carriers!
Altus traffic engaged with CDK to drive down costs. Their monthly spend per unit was too high, corporate costs were not comparable to commercial, billing processes were complex and confusing, plus there was no visibility over which services they need and which ones they were no longer using!
There was hesitations and concern from the Altus IT team about changing providers. With approximately 850 tablets and phones in the field, changing networks could mean changing the sims in each of these devices - a huge job no one was keen to undertake.
However, these concerns were quickly alleviated - after the tender process, it became apparent that Altus wouldn’t need to change
providers at all. They were able to secure a better deal without switching!
